IOP & PHP

Built for the Pace of Outpatient Group Care

IOP and PHP programs move fast: large group cohorts, high documentation volume, and compliance deadlines that never stop. Ritten keeps enrollment, group notes, and treatment plans connected so your clinicians can keep up without falling behind on paperwork.

And as you grow from IOP into PHP or add new tracks, everything stays on one system, so scaling up never means starting over.

Group Management

Groups That Manage Themselves

Running IOP means running groups, and Ritten builds them around your programs instead of your spreadsheet.

Enroll clients by program, so anyone added to IOP joins the right groups automatically and drops off at discharge
Split large cohorts into multiple concurrent groups without manual reassignment
Pre-populate every group note with the roster and the clinical documentation tied to each client
Handle absences in one step, so an unexcused absence is documented for the right client without rebuilding the note
Compliance

Never Chase a Missing Signature Again

High client volume means high documentation volume. Ritten’s compliance view shows exactly what is missing across your whole organization, down to the client, clinician, or payer.

A live to-do list surfaces unsigned notes, incomplete forms, and upcoming due dates by role
Treatment plan deadlines at 30, 60, and 90 days populate before they are due, for the right client
Filter missing documentation by payer, program, client, or clinician and assign cleanup in bulk
AI Form Reviewer checks each note against your requirements before it reaches a director for sign-off
Documentation

Treatment Plans That Flow Into Every Note

Clinicians shouldn’t retype the plan in every session. Ritten pulls active goals and interventions directly into individual and group notes.

Before Ritten, many behavioral health billers documented in one system, billed out of another, and tracked payments in spreadsheets and payer portals. Claims might show as “accepted,” but not actually be processed, forcing endless phone calls and portal logins.

Tag treatment plan goals inside daily notes to keep progress connected
Encounter-based charting defines exactly which forms complete each billable service
AI Scribe and Improve Text turn shorthand into clean, structured notes
Configurable SOAP, DAP, BIRP, or custom templates match how your team documents
Billing

Bill Your Way, With Our RCM or Yours

Many IOP and PHP programs work with an outside billing company. Ritten fits either way.

Keep your billing partner and send a clean, ready-to-bill services report
Or run Ritten’s full RCM, where completed encounters generate coded claims automatically
Clinicians never pick a billing code; billing logic runs in the background
Copay collection fits directly into your check-in workflow when you want it
FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Still have questions about our behavioral health software? Email us at hello@ritten.io

Can I fix a group note after the fact if a client's attendance status changes?

Yes. If a client is marked present but was actually absent, the group note can be edited after the session to reflect that, without redoing the whole note.

Can I see how a program is trending over time, like IOP versus PHP census?

Yes. Dashboards can be built around census trends by program, so leadership can see which levels of care are growing or shrinking without pulling a manual report.

Does Ritten pull a client's treatment plan goals into their group and individual notes automatically?

Yes. Whatever a clinician is working on in the treatment plan can be pulled directly into that client's group or individual note for the session, so goals don't have to be retyped each time.

If we don't bill through Ritten, can we still track authorizations in the client chart?

Yes. Authorizations and billing details can be entered and stored in the chart even for organizations that bill through a separate system, so that information stays with the client record.

Is Ritten built for IOP/PHP specifically, or is it a general EMR we'd have to adapt?

Ritten is built for behavioral health levels of care, including IOP and PHP, rather than a general medical EMR retrofitted for the space.
