SHALOM: universal flourishing, wholeness and well-being which ensures safety and sacredness for and among individuals and groups. Peace, not in the absence of conflict, but in the presence and reality of it.

WNCC Peace Building Ministries provide an overarching framework and comprehensive approach for creating communities that foster sustainable shalom within local congregations and in communities across the Conference. Our peace building strategies equip lay and clergy leaders and local congregations to address conflict, trauma, and systemic issues that threaten shalom for all individuals. Additionally, WNCC Peace Building Ministries are specifically committed to skilling up youth and young adults for sustainable peace in our churches and congregations for generations to come.

WNCC Peace Building Ministries works in active collaboration with the WNCC Justice and Reconciliation and Healing-Centered Faith Communities initiatives.
