Ashton and Adalyn were best friends. They were so close that it was hard for people to say one name without the other. But when Ashton's band, In Too Deep, gets the break that they've been waiting for, things changed. Right before the boys' departure from their town of Augusta the pair promised each other to never leave the other. They promised to stay in touch no matter what. But something happened and Ashton slowly lost touch. First he stopped calling, then video chatting, then before Adalyn knew it the only time she ever heard or saw Ashton was on TV, in newspapers/magazines or on the radio. Somewhere along the way Adalyn loses all hope in ever seeing Ashton again. But when she gets dragged along to an audition by her troublesome best friend Indigo, she sees him again.
