Aerion Targaryen was never meant to bend for anyone. Proud, sharp tongued, and feared by most of the court, he gives the world nothing but steel and dragonfire. But for Daenys Baelor's daughter, Valarr's twin, and the girl with brown hair streaked with silver he is hopelessly, dangerously devoted. From childhood to betrothal to marriage, The Dragon Who Bent follows the story of a prince who says no to everyone except the woman he loves. He would give her anything she asked for, panic at her tears, carry her when she's tired, and burn with jealousy whenever the world looks at her too long. A romantic series full of obsession, tenderness, possessive devotion, and the one woman who could make a dragon prince kneel. "You are my wife," he said. "If something upsets you, then by definition it is not a little thing."

Princess Viserra Targaryen had grown in the shadow of the Faith of the Seven, raised to be pious by her mother, she spent more time in the Royal Sept than any other part of the Red Keep. Breathing its teachings down her throat more than the air in King's Landing, until she suffocated. But she did it with no complaints, never any fight in her. A perfect daughter, a perfect princess, the opposite of her namesake, her mother would make sure of that. But the blood of the dragon still runs in her veins like the rest of her family, tempered down it may be, it was there. And dragons were creatures of greed, according to common folks tales, greedy, hoarding, beasts who would rather burn nations down than let a single treasure that catches their fancy slip by. So when her interest locks onto her uncle, Prince Baelor, the Hand of the King, the Heir to the Iron Throne. Everything she was never supposed to want. She is torn between her devotion to her mothers faith, its teachings, everything she's ever known. And her desire to have him all to herself. ⤷ ゛Baelor Targaryen x OC ˎˊ˗ [AKOTSK]

Viserra was the most beautiful thing I had ever created. I knew every mother in Westeros likely thought the same of their children, but in my case, I happened to be correct. The nursery at the Eyrie had long since become more comfortable to me than my own solar, especially in recent years. Between Rhaegar, Lyonel, Dyanna, and now Viserra, I had spent more hours among carved toys and scattered blankets than I ever had around councils or ledgers. And today, my youngest had trapped me there completely. Viserra sat in the middle of the rug with her tiny legs spread around her, dressed in soft lilac silks that matched her eyes so perfectly that it looked like a painting. Her pale silver hair had grown enough for the nursemaids to tie small braids near her temples, though several strands had already escaped and curled around her cheeks after an hour of play. Between the sharp little chin, delicate nose, and unmistakable coloring, she looked every bit the image of Old Valyria. My own little perfect Targaryen lady. And Seven help me, I was absurdly proud of it.

"She lies upon the feild, lodged inside what seems to be a large crater of mud. from what she can tell, it has seeping through her nightgown for quite some time now. How did she end up here?-She wondered, while scanning the sky and the surroundings around her. it was night, or possibly morning, she couldn't tell. All she knows now, is she is cold, scared, and in a place she never seen before. she looks across the vast open land, momentarily taking her eyes off the damage the puddle has left her with, and notices a city in the far distance. She couldn't determine how large the city was because of how far it seemed to be, but she could certainly make out tall walls encircling the land mass. It was like one moment she was with her mother, at the farm her step father owns, and the next she had been sent to meet a strange man and she cannot fathom any recollection of the quick interaction they had. if quick at all. her body aches, and it seems she had almost been stripped bare. How ever could her mother and step father allow this? surely they would notice me missing and try send for me, or heaven forbid, in this situation, alert someone of power and tell their daughter is no where to be found. What if those of high power were the ones who had done this to her? she had heard around their small farming village, rumors of her being illegitimate, but she chose to never belive them. her mother had always told her she and her father, before he passed, were married. Maybe they just didn't like the fact her step father wasn't her own. her thoughts were cut short when a loud, deep screech echoed through the valley she was orphaned upon. Quickly gathering herself and standing up, she sought out for a form of cover to prepare for what was to come. Shough she was young, she knows the sound of a dragon when she hears one. And she certainly does not want to be on the receiving end of what's shes been told to be a demon and their rider."

Duncan drew another breath, forcing himself to continue despite the strain in his voice. "The crown has named me his successor," he said, each word slow and deliberate. "I have been declared Lord Paramount of the Vale." For a heartbeat, my mind went completely blank. Then he spoke again, delivering the final blow with quiet resignation. "And I have been betrothed to Prince Aerion Targaryen." The words hung in the air like thunder before a storm. Shock hit me all at once, sharp enough to steal the breath from my lungs, and my eyes widened as realization dawned. I stared at him in disbelief, trying to make sense of everything he had just said, yet the only response that came bursting out of me was loud enough to shake the hall. "What the FUCK?!"

The doors to my father's solar slammed open with a force that rattled the hinges against the stone, the sharp crack echoing through the chamber as every head inside turned toward me. I did not bother announcing myself, nor did I wait for permission to enter. King Daeron II Targaryen sat behind his desk with a stack of parchments spread before him, while my brother Baelor stood at his side. "This is madness," I snapped, striding forward until the heels of my boots struck the edge of his desk. "How dare you, Father, king or not, give one of my son's hands in marriage to a bastard."
