Life rarely goes as planned. When I was 9 years old, all I wanted to be was a nun. But then, what Catholic school girl doesn't have that passing thought? Then I felt that call again in High School. But with my mental health in tatters, I was rightly turned gently away by the order I reached out to. So I closed that door for good. Or so I thought. Life rarely goes as planned, and right now, I find myself in the depths of wrestling with the highest of highs in my religious life, but some of the lowest of lows in my personal health. Vulnerability has never come easy to me. But I want to record this journey for myself, as much as for others. If you read it, I hope it brings you some peace in a world of strife. Or perhaps offers you a hand to hold, to know you aren't alone in your struggles. This discernment journey is on going. It is full of ups and downs. And I do not yet know the end. Feel free to start reading from the latest day, or pick your favorite Princess from the chapter names and start there. This is not written linearly. Thank you! No one wants to feel lonely. And the best cure is to have a friend talk to you and care about you. Sadly sometimes people don't have any friends to talk to, so I am writing these letters to anyone that wants to read them. This way you at least have a friend thinking about you and talking to you. Sometimes we take for granted our ability to lead a normal life. However for some, like the young royals of the world, they don't have the luxury of leading a normal life. Perhaps it's difficult for them to make friends? Perhaps they don't have anyone to talk to? Who knows? We are a family, and family takes care of each other. So these letters are addressed to them and are there if they need them. But everyone is free to read them in case you need them.
