Yume has to fight for her life to survive. Each and everyday she faces death and killings. On her way she meets Ryuu, a boy so skilled in killing Chasers, and is happy that he joins her in her quest to kill "Shinigami" (The death god) She wants revenge for her dead parents, and for herself. She finds out that sacrifice is necessary and that she can find friends on places she thought she never would find. But the Chasers are getting stronger, what can she do to become stronger and not weaker?

Chasers are treasure hunters that scourer the globe looking for precious artifacts lost to time. Yorick is a student with low self esteem who aspires to become a chaser. It was not until a fateful encounter with his idol, May Valentine, that he gets a chance to live out his dream.
