Will was best friends with Zaria's parents before they both passed away while protecting the ninety nine caverns from Dr, Thaddius Blakk, leaving Will Shane to raise their only daughter and he trust Zaria and Eli to protect the caverns, with Zaria's knowledge with every cavern and slug there is and with Eli's slugslinging skills as they lead the Shane gang together. and through that both Eli and Zaria have been getting feelings for each other, and Eli is always there to help her just like when they were kids and Zaria was the same for Eli they've always looked out for each other. and while on their journey in Slugterra, Zaria has been discovering more and more about her family's past including her parents, she discovers that in the Mendoza line in the family for each generation has been passed down a special power, to make a full connection to the slugs in the ninety nine caverns she can control their energy whenever they transform in full velocity and that power has been passed down through her father, Ray Mendoza.

This fic is a companion work to my other story, "Hello, Richard." Since there is no narration to the events in that story, this fic hopes to flesh out the implied happenings in the chapters there . Please read "Hello, Richard" first before this one. Otherwise, the story might not make full sense to you.
