Set in a traditional Indian village of the 1960s, Meera's World follows the life of a young housewife trapped between duty and longing. Married off at a young age to Arvind, a respected doctor, Meera struggles to find her place in a household that never truly welcomes her. Her mother-in-law resents her, her husband remains distant, and her own dreams have long been buried under daily chores. As she raises her four sons, Meera watches the world around her shift-love, favoritism, and quiet betrayals shaping the relationships in the house. But in a life dictated by tradition, can a woman's silent endurance ever be enough? A poignant tale of sacrifice, resilience, and unspoken emotions, Meera's World captures the delicate balance between duty and the quiet hope for something more.

🥇 1st Place - Best Prologue (Whispers Beneath the Ice mini-awards, 2025) 🥈 2nd Place - Best Writing Style (Enchanted Grave Awards, 2025) 🥈 2nd Place - Best Villain (Starfish Awards, 2025) ⸻ ✧ ⸻ Beneath the earth, the sun is only a memory - and its light is no longer free. The powerful have bottled it, priced it, and called it holy. Every flicker, every breath, must be paid for in Lumen. Lucy Farrow was born in the Gloom, where the air tastes of rust and hope is a dangerous thing. Her mother taught her to keep her glow low - to survive unseen. But when the light inside her begins to stir, Lucy's secret could unravel the order that keeps their divided city alive. High above, in the marble halls of the Halo, Prince Cassian Soleyne uncovers a secret among ink and dust - a forbidden lineage that could unmake the civilization he was born to protect. His duty is to snuff it out: his heart tells him to save it. As rebellion brews in the dark and doubt kindles in the light, their paths will cross - and together they will awaken a fire long thought dead. A Radiant who could bring back the dawn, and set the Light free. ⸻ ✧ ⸻ Her gloved hand rested in his as the orchestra swelled. They orbited each other like the sun and moon, with hundreds of stars all around watching their every step. Ariana could feel Cassian's firm hand on her back; but now she had no fan to cool herself off. "You look wonderful tonight, lady Delmaris", Cassian spoke from underneath a silver mask fashioned after his father's own. Ariana glanced away, lest she'd be swept up by her quickening pulse. "You are too kind, my prince", she murmured as the dance continued. "You look quite... handsome tonight yourself", Ariana managed after a moment. A thousand eyes, maybe more, rested upon them. But one look at Ariana made all the rumours infinitely worth it. Maybe the promise they had once made as children wouldn't be a silly game after all. Only the Light knows, Cassian thought.

"When we get out of here, you're gonna write me a song about this, okay?" ✦ ✦ ✦ Rebellion is always right. Oyza yearns for revolution, an impossible dream under a lifetime prison sentence. Fueled by the destruction of her home and years of servitude, she survives on smuggled texts from the Ungoverned, rebels who claim a world without kings is possible. Then Yars arrives. A charming thief with a dangerous past, Yars offers Oyza more than escape: he offers her a way to fight back. But freedom beyond the prison walls leads her to a truth buried beneath the ruins of Oyvassa, her home city, one that could shatter the order ruling Vaaz itself. Hunted by a ruthless commander tied to her past and pursued by foreign invaders from across the sea, Oyza is driven toward a rebellion hidden deep within the swamps of her homeland. There, alliances fracture, survival becomes uncertain, and victory may demand more than any of them are prepared to give. When blood is spilled, how much will be their own? ✦ ✦ ✦ "...a fantasy adventure maintaining a brisk pacing of action and intrigue within a well-built story world full of rich detail... Before the Godslayer, there was the man they tried to break. Asirayya once believed in the empire. He fought for it. Bled for it. Buried men beneath its banners and called it honor. Now he wakes in chains beneath the arena of Pax Akaedia, awaiting execution before fifty thousand screaming citizens. The priests call it absolution. The crowds call it entertainment. The empire calls it mercy. But death inside the Colonate is never simple. Over the course of a single night, Asirayya is stripped, anointed, inspected, beaten, worshipped, and prepared for slaughter like sacred livestock beneath the eyes of gods he no longer trusts. Around him, gladiators whisper prayers through broken teeth. Priests paint oil over old scars. Handlers place bets on how long men will scream. And somewhere beneath the machinery of empire, something ancient is beginning to wake. Because the earth remembers him. And so does Death. INVICTUS is a dark mythic fantasy novella set in the world of Garden in Flames - a brutal story of faith, violence, memory, and the making of the man who will one day throw down his sword and shake an empire to its foundations.

When a being enters this world, they are pure. Devoid of evil and sin. But this cruel world plagues this beautiful being, it tortures and infects it with sin until it tears wounds that will never heal. The world will hurt it again, and again, and again, until it is no longer the innocent being they once were. And the being learns. Learns that kindness is not always returned. That trust is a fragile thing, easily shattered beneath careless hands. That love, though sweet as nectar, will rot away with time. That hope, no matter how bright it shines, will sputter out and die. The darkness consumes this being, taints it until feathers of pure white melt into feathers of the deepest abyss. And what used to be a white swan, the epitome of purity and innocence, has morphed into the black swan. But can pure darkness still be considered pure?

In a world still scarred by the Great War, peace survives through fragile treaties, political lies, and the silence of those too afraid to challenge power. When the militant movement known as the Judaic Nexus rises from the shadows and topples a kingdom, the balance between nations begins to crack. Famine spreads through forgotten lands, rebellion ignites in occupied cities, spies move beneath royal courts, and every ruler claims to protect peace while preparing for war. At the heart of this collapsing world stand two men shaped by loss. Zachay Noru, son of a fallen hero, carries the fire of revenge and the burden of revolution. To free his homeland, he must turn fear into resistance - without letting vengeance consume the justice he claims to fight for. Kai Therion, a quiet wanderer feared as the mysterious Cloaked Reaper, fights from the shadows against a conspiracy that reaches deeper than any kingdom dares admit. But every secret war demands sacrifice, and every monster must remember why it first picked up the blade. As kingdoms fracture and truth becomes a weapon, Zachay and Kai walk different paths through the same storm - one leading the people toward open rebellion, the other hunting the darkness no one else can touch. But behind every war stands an idea. And behind every idea stands someone willing to sacrifice humanity itself to prove they were right. Dawn Bringers is a dark political fantasy about rebellion, trauma, justice, propaganda, and the terrifying question at the heart of every revolution: How far can you go to save the world before you become one of the reasons it needs saving?

A tale of intergenerational BIID over centuries. In prep school I became a close friend of Brian Meadows. His mobility impairment was obvious. Over time its cause became evident as he described a peculiar turn of mind shared by generations of privileged ancestors whose story reaches back well into 18th century France. This is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to persons or situations other than those that are clearly general knowledge is pure coincidence. The story is excerpted and adapted from my much longer novel "Buddies." I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I have writing it.

In a technologically advanced monarchy, fear is maintained through spectacle. Every few years, six "traitors" are selected and released into the country. They are hunted by the king's sons in a nationally broadcast event. Officially, it proves the crown's strength. Unofficially, it keeps the population too terrified to rebel. No one has ever survived. Until now.
