Still I Stand (shorter and original version):- Inspired by Maya Angelou's great poem 'Still I Rise', which my poem pales in comparison to. She truly was a Gift from above. This short poem simply portrays, in a nutshell that... Against all odds, courage by standing our ground will help us defeat fear and adversity. For it shines as does the beacon of a lighthouse would pierce through; guiding us even in our darkest hours' Still, I Stand (extended version):- This extra prose came much later as I felt was how it should evolve but this time with a more 'spiritual essense'.
