MET report

[edit]

Hi Pharos, you should have a look at Wikidata:Database reports/Constraint violations/P3634. Contains some interesting things to fix. Multichill (talk) 12:15, 18 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

MET higher resolution image suggestions

[edit]

Hi, I fixed a number of issues in User:Pharos/MET higher resolution image suggestions, but the page has not been updated from 8 December 2017 à 19:31‎. How to update it? Regards, Yann (talk) 10:28, 14 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Louis George Gregory and George Gregory

[edit]

It may be that I misunderstood your indication that Louis George Gregory was named after George Gregory to indicate that the latter two parts of the former's name were from the latter's name. In fact Louis did take his stepfather's family name, but by odd coincidence, his original family name was the same as his stepfather's given name. Please restore statement if you feel it appropriate in this context. Thanks. --A12n (talk) 14:54, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind - reverted the deletion. --A12n (talk) 18:15, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@A12n: Hm, if he only took "Gregory" but not "George", then maybe the property shouldn't be used, or it should be used in a qualified way.--Pharos (talk) 17:08, 14 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Email

[edit]

Hi,

Did you receive my email about the Wikipedia template? Thanks, Adam Harangozó (talk) 12:23, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Pharos, I accidentally discovered analog work (Q112134971), which apparently you have created. (I'd rather use 'analog object' as main label, because it can also apply to digitized items that are not even strictly creative works, such as archaeological items, but that's me nitpicking. I really like it!)

Do you use it, or intend to use it, on Wikimedia Commons as an SDC qualifier? I am keen to see consensus there on data modeling for files that show creative works without Wikidata item, and this item would be a key element there (used as qualifier, to distinguish between work/object and file). I'd be happy to see places where you applied it (or plan to apply it). Many greetings! Spinster 💬 14:55, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject named but unreferenced in WD item

[edit]

The WD item for Wiki Loves Pride Art & Artists, created by you on 31 May 2013, lacks references for its statements. I didn't find it in Meta-Wiki, only several instances of Wiki Loves Pride projects for different years. On the WD item for Israeli photographer Adi Nes (one of whose works is featured as a DYK on today's EN WP), there's the property "on focus list of Wikimedia project." I'd appreciate guidance to find that focus list for this Wikiproject. -- Deborahjay (talk) 11:12, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect use of subclass of (P279)

[edit]

Hello –

This statement on "period room" (Q2071002) was incorrect, and I have removed it. Errors with instance of (P31) and subclass of (P279) lead to numerous false inferences, in this case including period room (Q2071002)subclass of (P279)occurrence (Q1190554). When using these two properties, check the description of your value item, and make sure your statement follows Help:Basic membership properties. (In this case, a "period room" is a physical room, not the process of creating it.) There is often another property that can accurately express the relationship you had in mind; in this case, has cause (P828) works better. You can search through available properties here. Thanks!
