Vietnamese: guidance and wisdom According to legend, when Vietnam gained independence for China, the new ruler Ly Cong Uan had difficulty finding a place to build a citadel. Anytime he tried to build walls, the marshy land destroyed his efforts. That is until he had a vision while praying of a white horse galloping away, leaving a trail of footprints in a circle.
