Here’s the same review, clean and smooth without tags 👇 Grimvalor vs Prince of Persia — Raw Combat vs Timeless Grace If you put Grimvalor next to Prince of Persia, you’re basically comparing two different philosophies of action games. Grimvalor is all about intensity. From the first minute, it throws you into dark, brutal combat where timing is everything. Dodge, slash, repeat—but mess up once, and the game punishes you hard. It has that “souls-like” feeling on mobile: tight controls, heavy enemies, and a constant sense of danger. On the other side, Prince of Persia is built on elegance. The whole identity of the series comes from fluid movement—wall runs, jumps, acrobatics—blended with combat and puzzles. It’s not just about fighting; it’s about flow. The games balance platforming, exploration, and combat instead of focusing purely on difficulty.

A simple 2D combat game with smooth, satisfying mechanics. Even though I’ve only played a few games in this genre, this one really stood out. The combat feels fluid and responsive, and the boss fights are especially fun and engaging (tried only the act 1, I don't have money to buy the whole game ☹️ - but I thought lemme give a review on it)

⚔️ Grimvalor: The Gold Standard of Mobile Souls-likes Grimvalor is a rare gem in the mobile gaming landscape—a premium, "console-quality" hack-and-slash RPG that manages to condense the atmosphere of Dark Souls and the exploration of Castlevania into a buttery-smooth 2.5D experience. It doesn't just work on mobile; it thrives. Here is a detailed review, drawing from the consensus of elite critics who herald it as a masterclass in portable action.

This shape up to be a really great game on Android. An actual decent gamer game that is until I got to this boss then no matter how well I was doing on them he could pull this one move and kill me instantly. Which to me is a major No-No video games I mean that only was his boss overpowered Me by just as normal abilities but then to put a life ending ability on the boss that he could use it any moment so I could be doing really well and then he pulls this one move and I'm dead. I'm done it should never be a move.

This game is awesome and stressful in good way; just after fighting certain bosses for quite a long, you beat them, just to realize the boss has a second life... Like I said stressful, but awesome

Review of Grimvalor (Android Version) by Direlight Oy (5 out of 5 Stars) Description and Story Grimvalor is a hack-and-slash platformer developed by Finland-based Direlight Oy, available on Android via Google Play. The latest version (1.2.9) was updated in February 2025. Set in a dark fantasy world, the game places players in the role of a lone warrior tasked with uncovering the fate of the lost king of Vallaris. The story quickly turns sinister, plunging players into a battle against hordes of darkness and King Valor’s fearsome guardians. The game blends exploration, skill-based combat, and a story-driven experience, offering a premium adventure. The first act is free (1-2 hours of gameplay), with a one-time purchase unlocking all five acts.

It's such a fun game with some really warming visuals. I didn't follow the story too closely, but it was still a blast to play. I’m into challenging games, and this one definitely scratched that itch. The only downside is having to buy additional chapters. It would've been the perfect time-killer if there were more free levels to dive into.
