Aparna joined timeanddate in 2012 and is now Research Team Lead. Together with her team, she maintains our vast holiday and places databases and ensures the information we present is always correct and current.
She has worked and lived on three continents and holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Delhi, an MA in International Politics from Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, and a PhD in Political Science from Binghamton University in New York.
When not working, she likes to read microhistories, plan parties, and learn new skills.
From a young age, I had a knack for uncovering lost and hidden things—a skill that naturally evolved into my career as a researcher. Today, I find the greatest satisfaction in tracking down obscure information, laws, or regulations, where each discovery feels like solving a meaningful puzzle.
