2021 - 2024
maybe next time I'll try to smile and look a lil' more friendly (i don't usually look this stuck-up; i'm literally always sending my friends silly pics of myself making faces)
life update: i'm officially no longer a student! i submitted my dissertation at the end of summer and defended it in september—everything went really well. i now have a master's degree in translation! i've left the big city for now and moved back in with my mom while i set up my freelance business and apply for the rare in-house translator jobs out there (i have a second interview on wednesday, fingers crossed). i'll likely be changing my username, as this blog will be shifting from study content (unless i start learning a new language soon). i'll still be posting bookish things and photos in general since i'm trying to take this hobby more seriously
an afternoon in La Rochelle 📚 🌊🪼couldn't resist and bought an old copy of Twenty Years After. my Alexandre Dumas shrine is growing.
finally reading the count of monte cristo.. will i love it more than the three musketeers and twenty years after?
why are tattoos so addictive 🥲 got my first one in 3 years last week and now all i can think about is getting more. i'll try to hold off until the end of summer..
kitties, a trip to the library and my most recent read 💫

i'm moving out soon, leaving this flat behind, saying goodbye to paris. that gives me a sense of relief: life here has been a struggle, to say the least. i'm returning to a city i know and love, until April 2024 at least (when my internship ends). my boyfriend is staying in paris, so we'll be long-distance. i'm not sure what to expect and i'm worried i might not have made the right choices but hopefully those doubts will subside soon enough.
meeting cats on my way to the supermarket and sitting at my desk on a quiet afternoon
it happened again yesterday! 😭 i first saw this cat in December 2021 and he ends up in my lap every time! always makes my day.
