my co-instructor has come up with an ingenious way of getting the kiddos to quiet down without making them sad. at the beginning of class he says "we'll play a game called puffer fish! when i say "puffer fish" then everyone has to imitate a puffer fish!" so when everyone is talking all at once and disrupting he shouts out "puffer fish!" and every single kid without fail closes their lips and puffs their cheeks quickly. there are no consequences for failing to do the puffer fish. the kids just really love the puffer fish.

Atlantic Salmon Population Data in New England Rivers

The book is a salmon parchment-bound collection of data tables regarding salmon populations and management in New England rivers. Sewn onto the cover with fishing line are pieces of salmon parchment dyed in onion skins and stamped with the names of the data tables used. The edges are decorated in graphite, which adds to the shiny fishiness of the design. The endsheets are handmade paper with bits of plant material, which I thought evoked the feeling of standing in a river.

All of the salmon parchment used was made by me, the binder, out of skins procured from a local sushi shop.

Одно отвечает за снабжение кровью нервной системы, а остальные два — за работу жабр.Эти каракатицы прославились способностью моментально менять свой окрас, который чаще всего зависит от настроения животного или окружающей среды. Также он сильно меняется у самцов в брачный период. В брачный период или во время нападения на добычу их окраска приобретают металлический блеск и покрывается яркими светящимися точками.

Эти гиганты ведут дневной образ жизни. Большую часть времени проводят, укрывшись среди зарослей водорослей, каменистых рифов или зарывшись на морском дне. Большую часть энергии они тратят не на активность, а на рост. Очень любопытны и любят поиграть, чем часто пользуются дайверы.
