Chris Cuomo
Chris Cuomo (born Christopher Charles Cuomo) is a television journalist best known for hosting Cuomo Prime Time on CNN and his work as a correspondent for major news networks. Cuomo is the youngest son of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo and brother of former Governor Andrew Cuomo. He attended The Albany Academy before going on to earn his undergraduate degree from Yale University and later obtaining his Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law in 1995.
Chris began his career covering social and political issues on Fox News and Fox Broadcast Network’s Fox Files. He later joined ABC News, where he co-anchored 20/20 and served as the news anchor for Good Morning America. His reporting included coverage of major global events, including the war on terrorism, Hurricane Katrina and the Virginia Tech shootings. He received a News & Documentary Emmy Award for his work on a series about heroin addiction.
In 2013, Chris joined CNN, first cohosting New Day before launching his own prime-time show, Cuomo Prime Time, in 2018. He was suspended and later terminated from CNN in 2021 for his involvement in advising his brother during a political scandal. In 2022, he returned to television with the launch of Cuomo on NewsNation.
Chris married Cristina Greeven, a magazine editor and wellness entrepreneur, in 2001. The couple has three children: Bella, Mario and Carolina.
