Meghan Markle
Meghan Markle (born Rachel Meghan Markle) is an actress and the wife of Prince Harry. Markle grew up in Los Angeles and later moved to attend Northwestern University. She graduated from the school in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in international studies and theater.
The actress’ career started with minor roles in films and guest appearances on TV shows such as Married… With Children, Fringe and 90210. Her big break came in 2011 when she was cast as Rachel Zane on the USA series Suits. She remained with the show until her retirement from acting in 2018.
Markle marked her return to the entertainment industry in the Disney+ documentary, Elephant (2020). In 2025, she was featured in the Netflix series With Love, Meghan. She launched her podcast “Confessions of a Female Founder” that same year.
Meghan’s first marriage was to actor and producer Trevor Engelson. The duo tied the knot in 2011 after almost seven years of dating but called it quits in 2013. She moved on with celebrity chef Cory Vitiello before she began dating Prince Harry in 2016.
In November 2017, Harry and Meghan announced their engagement. The pair tied the knot in May 2018 in front of 600 guests at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in London and officially received the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The couple share children Archie (born in 2019) and Lilibet (born in 2021).
In January 2020, the couple announced their decision to step back as senior members of the royal family. They briefly relocated to Vancouver, Canada, before settling down in California in March 2020. Their royal exit was solidified that same month.
