Linda Cardellini
Linda Cardellini is an actress best known for her roles on Freaks and Geeks, ER, Dead to Me and the Scooby-Doo films. Born in Redwood City, California, Cardellini is the youngest of four children. She began acting in school plays at a young age and graduated from St. Francis High School in Mountain View in 1993. She later earned a degree in theater arts from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
Cardellini got her start on television in the late 1990s, appearing in guest roles on shows like 3rd Rock From the Sun, Boy Meets World and Step by Step. She landed her breakout role as Lindsay Weir on NBC’s Freaks and Geeks in 1999. Though the series was short-lived, it gained a cult following and launched her career.
She went on to play nurse Samantha Taggart on ER from 2003 to 2009 and starred as Velma in Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. Some of her notable roles include Legally Blonde (2001), Grandma’s Boy (2006), Brokeback Mountain (2005), Green Book (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Hawkeye. She received an Emmy nomination for her lead role on Netflix’s Dead to Me and has also voiced characters in Gravity Falls and Regular Show.
Cardellini has been in a long-term relationship with Steven Rodriguez, a childhood friend turned actor and makeup artist. The couple got engaged in 2013 and share one daughter, Lilah-Rose (born in 2012).
