who we are
United Voices of the World (UVW) is a member-led, direct action, anti-racist trade union. Our members are precarious, low-paid, predominantly racialised and migrant workers organising across the UK economy.
Who we represent
The UVW family brings together workers from across the public and private sectors, including outsourced cleaners, security guards, office and administrative staff, hospitality and hotel workers, and NHS cleaners, porters and catering staff.
Built by and for migrant workers, our members speak over 90 languages with nearly half of our members Spanish or Portuguese-speaking.
Our history
UVW was founded in January 2014 by a group of cleaners from Latin America.
