Choosing an item condition

Choosing the right item condition helps other members find what they’re looking for and know what to expect. Try to be as accurate and objective as possible when selecting the condition to best match your item.

If an item’s condition is significantly worse than described in the listing, the buyer may cancel the order or return the item. We may also hide listings if the wrong condition is selected.

To help avoid this, always show and describe any flaws clearly — especially for used items. If you’re unsure which condition to choose, it’s better to select the lower condition.

Here’s what each item condition means:

  • New: A brand-new, unused, and unopened item in its original condition, with all its original packaging and accessories
  • Like new: A brand-new, unused item in its original condition, either opened or without its original packaging
  • Very good: A gently-used item in excellent condition, with minor imperfections that don't affect its overall appearance or use
  • Good: A regularly-used item in good condition that shows wear, but still works well for its intended purpose
  • Satisfactory: A well-used item that shows clear signs of wear and imperfections, but still works as intended
  • Needs repair (only applicable for electronic devices): An item that no longer works as intended, with broken or missing parts

Based on the item’s condition, you can choose a suitable price for it.
