What you cannot sell

If your item doesn’t fit into a catalogue category, it might not be allowed on Vinted as part of our Catalogue Rules.

See some examples of what you cannot sell:

Items that are unlawful, unethical, or don’t meet legal standards

Items that do not comply with any applicable law, rule, or regulation
Counterfeits, items that infringe on copyright or intellectual property (IP) rights, fake spare parts, and counterfeit equipment or materials.
Illicit reproductions of content — creative works reproduced without the copyright/IP holder’s consent (e.g. books, films, music, video games)
Illicit reproductions of currency and items related to currency reproduction
Cryptocurrencies and other virtual currencies, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum
Active shares and share certificates that are active financial assets. Collectable shares with personally identifiable information of living individuals
Items subject to age-rating classification with the age-rating labels missing (such as video games, films)
Items received for free, such as promotional or complimentary items
Live animals and pets, items for wild animals or farm animals
Items containing fur, reptile skin, shell, or ivory, and similar items from animal origin (however, leather, sheared sheep wool, cashmere, and mohair are allowed)
Jailbroken or rooted devices modified to bypass the manufacturer’s security restrictions
Devices that have been blocked by a carrier due to unpaid bills
Devices reported as stolen or lost, and/or have their unique IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number blocked
Any items considered archeological artefacts, cultural goods, or cultural heritage, including stamps, coins, banknotes, and share certificates
- Note: Unused, valid stamps are allowed subject to local laws and authorisation restrictions

Potentially unsafe or unhygienic items

Items that don’t comply with hygiene standards or pose a risk to one’s health (such as used cosmetics, underwear bottoms, or piercings)
Sanitary products, including tampons, pads, and menstrual cups
Detergents, cleaning chemicals, or similar products
Prescription and non-prescription medicinal products, professional medical supplies, vitamins, food supplements, and any other health-related products (also forbidden in Pet care category)
Food, drinks, and other consumables (also forbidden in Pet care category)
Cosmetic items for animals
All sharp knives and bladed tools with a pointed tip, regardless of size or intended use. Here are some examples:
- Kitchen knives, including bread, steak, and butcher knives
  - (Note: table knives with a dull blade and rounded tip, such as butter knives, are allowed. Cutlery sets that include any sharp knives are not allowed)
- Bladed weapons: throwing knives, circular throwing knives, throwing stars, stiletto knives, drop knives, butterfly knives, hidden knives, knives that resemble an object other than a weapon
- Utility and camping knives: folding knives, Swiss Army knives, survival knives, machetes, zombie knives
- Sharp outdoor tools: chainsaws, axes, saws with a handle and elongated blade that resemble a knife
- Sharp arts & crafts tools: fabric scissors, rotary cutters, crafting scissors, crafting knives & cutters
- Collectable, prop, and antique knives that are sharp and with a pointed tip, even if described as decorative
- Straight razors and razor blades (single or double-edged)
  - (Note: cartridge razors and electric razors are allowed in new condition when sold in their sealed original packaging)
Used water filter inserts and cartridges
- Note: for hygiene reasons, only new replacement and individual water filter inserts and cartridges can be sold
Refrigerants (CFC and HCFC) and cooling agents sold separately from their appliances (such as air conditioners and heat pumps)
Non-functioning electrical appliances and electronic devices with visible damage

Non-category items

Heated tobacco and vape-related items: cases, covers, holders, chargers, decorative parts, ashtrays, cleaning tools, and similar accessories
Electronic items for pets: grooming items, pet cameras and monitors, electric equipment for aquariums and terrariums
Fetish-related items or items promoting sex services
