    I have to agree with a few here.  You've never been to Oakland especially in the last few years.  Other than visiting my dear old grandmother, I have avoided.  It's just not safe anymore.  It's obvious that you haven't visited Oaktown and most specifically Coast Guard Island. It's the only where you're not allow to enter.  But it is only OK if you have happened to make a mistake.  Of course, it's not the case in the last two days.  Hence that U-Haul truck.  He didn't listen at all and was shot at.  I feel it was legit.  Not likely the only person to go through the island for as long as the National Guard is there.

    It was too late,
    at a calculated reference point you are taking the problem into the air to solve.

    The idea that the entire engine would leave, and quite possibly damage #2 engine is just not part of the
    calculus.

    Even if somehow they were able to climb on just #3, that fire may well have led to wing spar failure at a higher altitude before getting back on the ground.

    Very good chance they will figure it out, stories are inconsistent on what recent maintenance was done in related areas.
