This fairly involved proposal is a modification of the original ALPS algorithm of (my friends) Nick Tawn (Warwick), Matt Moores (ex-Warwick), and Gareth Roberts (Warwick). With theoretical improvements but little applicability in realistic settings, imho (and in others). Still a fascinating topic!
