101 처녀자리(Virginis)는 보에테스 별자리에 있는 붉은색 거성 변광성으로, 현재 점근성 거대 가지에 있다.[7]원래 포지션의 오류로 플램스티드에 의해 101 버진리스로 분류되었다.[8][9]변광성(variable star)으로 확인되었을 때, 실제로는 부츠 별자리의 경계 내에 있었고, CY Boötis라는 이름이 붙었다.[3]

변동성은 강하게 규정되지 않고 1차 기간인 23일과 2차 기간인 340일이 보고되었다.[10]

CY Boo는 히파르코스 카탈로그에 '문제적 바이너리'로 기재되어 있는데, 이 별은 다중성이 의심되었지만 히파르코스 관측으로는 만족할 만한 해결책을 제시하지 못했다.추가 관찰 결과 항상 단일인 것으로 나타났다.[11]
