ADD1알파어두신은 인간에게 ADD1 유전자에 의해 암호화된 단백질이다.[5][6]
Adducins는 세 개의 유전자(알파, 베타, 감마)로 인코딩된 세포골격 단백질 계열이다.Adduchin은 서로 다른 유전자에서 생성되지만 유사한 구조를 공유하는 관련 하위유닛으로 구성된 이단백질이다.알파-아두신과 베타-아두신은 단백질 분해효소 내성 N-단말 영역과 단백질 분해효소 민감성 친수성 C-단말 영역을 포함한다.알파와 감마-아두신은 보편적으로 표현된다.이와는 대조적으로 베타 아두신은 뇌와 조혈조직에서 높은 수준으로 표현된다.Adduchin은 Ca(2+)/calmodulin에 높은 친화력으로 결합되며 단백질 키나제 A와 C의 기질이다.대안적 스플라이싱은 여러 변형이 구별되는 ISO 형식을 인코딩하는 결과를 낳지만, 모든 변형이 완전히 설명되지는 않았다.ADD1의 다형성은 고혈압과 관련이 있다.[6]
