Charnwood Lodge는 레스터셔 콜빌 동쪽에 있는 Charnwood Forest에 있는 134.2헥타르의 생물학적, 지질학적 특수 관심 지역이다.[1][2]국립자연보호구역으로 지질보전심의관 2곳이 있다.[3][4][5][6]그것은 레스터셔와 러트랜드 야생동물 신탁에 의해 관리된다.[7]
이곳은 동중부의 황야 지대 중 가장 넓은 지역으로 건조한 언덕 위에 고사리들이 주로 덮여 있는 반면 습한 황야는 보라색 황야가 지배하고 있다.이 유적지는 약 6억년 전 에디아카란 시대의 화산암인 '폭탄' 암석에 지질학적으로 중요하다.[7][8]
이 사이트의 일부는 워렌 힐즈 로드에서 접근할 수 있는 대중에게 개방되어 있다.[7]
