콜럼버스-III는 유럽과 북아메리카를 연결하는 대서양 횡단 통신 케이블이다.

이력 및 상세 내역

콜럼버스 III는 1999년[1][2][3] 12월부터 서비스를 시작했으며 30개 이상의 운송업체가 소유하고 있다. 90명의 리피터들이 지원하여 9833km의 길이 입니다.

2009년 업그레이드 후, 미국과 포르투갈 간의 시스템 용량은 처음에 160 Gbit/s로 증가되었다. 업그레이드된 시스템은 최대 320 Gbit/s를 수용할 수 있으며 그 이상으로 발전할 수 있는 잠재력이 있다.[1][2][3]
