HD 7853은 안드로메다자리에 있는 이중 별이다. 겉보기 규모 6.46으로 아무리 좋은 밤이라도 육안으로 겨우 볼 수 있다. 이 시스템은 약 130파섹(420 ly) 거리에 위치해 있으며, 더 밝은 별은 암별(Am star)으로, 특이한 금속 흡수선을 가지고 있다는 것을 의미한다.[7] kA5hF1mF2의 스펙트럼 분류는 칼슘 K선만을 기준으로 하면 A5의 스펙트럼 등급이, 다른 금속선만을 기준으로 하면 F2의 스펙트럼 등급이, 수소 흡수선을 기준으로 하면 F1의 스펙트럼 등급이 있음을 의미한다.[3] 두 구성 요소는 6 아크-초 간격으로 구성되며, 2차 구성 요소는 1차 구성 요소보다 3배 더 희미하다.[8]
