호이마는 우간다의 서부 지역에 있는 도시다.회마 지구의 주요 시·행정·상업 중심지다.분요로의 오무카마 궁전이 있는 곳이기도 하다.[1][5]

위치

호이마는 우간다의 최대 도시 캄팔라 북서쪽 약 200km(124mi)의 전천후 타르맥 고속도로인 캄팔라 고속도로에 있다.호이마 로드.[6]호이마 시의 좌표는 1°25'55.0"N 31°21'09.0"E(위도:1.431944; 경도:31.355)이다.[7]

인구

2002년 전국 인구조사에 따르면 호이마 인구는 6만561명으로 집계됐다.2014년 8월, 전국 인구조사에서 호이마의 인구는 10,099명으로 집계되었다.우간다 통계국(UBOS)은 2020년 도시의 중간인구를 12만2700명으로 추산했고, UBOS는 2014~2020년 호이마의 인구 증가율을 연평균 3.54%로 계산했다.[2]

경제활동

2000년과 2009년 사이, 호이마 구와 이웃 불리사 구에 있는 호숫가와 해안에서 25억 배럴에서 35억 배럴로 추정되는 상당한 양의 석유 매장량이 발견되었다.[9]호이마에서 서쪽으로 [10]약 34km(21mi) 떨어진 호이마구 부세루카 소 카운티 카바알레 마을에 정유소인 우간다 정유소가 계획돼 있다.[11]송유관인 우간다-탄자니아 원유 파이프라인도 탄자니아 인도양 항구인 탕가로 원유를 대피시킬 계획이다.[12]이에 따라 호이마는 경제활동의 거점이 될 기세다.[13][14]

1월 2018년이면 SBC우간다 리미티드 Colas 리미티드는 영국의 특수 신원 조사 국제 홀딩스 Uganda,[15]의 간의 합작 회사, Kabaale 마을 Buseruka sub-county, 호이마 District,[16]약 35킬로미터를 시의 서북서의 도로에 의하(22mi)에 호이마 국제 공항의 건설을 시작했다.ima.[17]

활주로와 화물처리시설 등 1단계 공사가 2020년에 완료될 전망이다.이 단계는 주로 정유공장 건설을 지원하는 것이다.[18][19]승객의 편의를 도모하고 관광과 사업을 활성화하는 데 초점을 맞춘 2단계 공사는 2022년에 마무리될 것으로 보인다.[18][19]이 프로젝트는 약 1,000개의 일자리를 창출할 것으로 예상된다.[20]

호이마는 이 지역의 경제활동이 증가함에 따라 신사업과 신규 입주민을 처리할 수 있는 인프라가 확충되는 등 시군의 지위로 격상되었다.[21]최근 호이마의 땅값과 임대료, 기타 부동산 가격이 상승하면서 마을과 주변 지역의 부동산 수요가 증가하고 있다.[22]
