멸종된 포유류의 위해 남제류의 Notioprogonia은 아목과 두 가족, Henricosborniidae과 Notostylopidae을 포함한다.[2]

설명

Henricosbornia과 Othnielmarshia 같은 후반 팔레오세(Itaboraian-Casamayoran SALMA)에서 Henricosborniids고, 치음으로. 가장 원시적인 notoungulates이 다른 모든 notoungulates의 기원 근처에 위치한 치식 3.1.4.33.1.4.3과low-crowned 이빨이 일반화되어 있다.Simpsonotus, 늦은 팔레오세와 지질학적으로도 가장 오래된 notoungulate 또한에서 알려진 Henricoborniid 해골과 우리에게 제공한다.그것은epitympanic 굴과 이러한 기능 notoungulates 안에 진화되는 것 같은 고실 능선, notoungulates의synapomorphic으로 간주된다 청각 은 특수가 부족하다.Simpsonotus의 전면 치열 반면에, 약간 있고, 명백히 파생된 다른 혈통을 나타내는 것을 제안하다니 이상하다.[4]
