SGDC-2
SGDC-2정지궤도 방어 및 전략 통신 위성 2 또는 SGDC-2(포르투갈어:사텔라이트 거에스타시오나리오 데 데프사 에 코무니카셰스 에스트라테기타스 2)는 현재 기획 단계에 있는 브라질 정지 통신위성이다.그것은 SGDC-1에 대한 백업으로 발사될 것이다. 2019년 4월 현재 공개 조달 기간이 계획 중에 있으며, 위성 건설에 대한 계약은 아직 체결되지 않았다.브라질 국영기업 텔레브라가 운영하며 이르면 2022년에 출범할 예정이다.[1]
2019년 8월 브라질 연방감사법원(TCU)은 조달 프로세스 내에 존재하는 금융 및 기술 비리로 인해 공개 조달 기간을 중단했다.텔레브라는 SGDC-2의 위성 건설 공급 업체 선정을 진행하기 위해 이러한 우려를 해소해 달라는 요청을 받았다.[2]
2021년 7월 현재 SGDC-2의 조달은 비용에 대한 우려와 엠브라와의 합작사인 텔레브라스와 비오나의 조달협정의 적법성 문제로 무기한 지연되고 있다.[3][4]

BNamericas: Will there be a new geostationary satellite? It was part of the initial SGDC program plan that Brazil had more than one geostationary satellite. Menezes: Yes, the initial idea was to have a constellation. But I think there's no space for this at the moment. We're not discussing it. But there are private options out there.
