쇼츠(Shotts)는 스코틀랜드 노스 라나크셔(North Lanarkshire)에 있는 작은 마을입니다. 글래스고 (17 마일 또는 27 킬로미터)와 에딘버러 (26 마일 또는 42 킬로미터)의 거의 중간에 위치해 있습니다. 그 마을의 인구는 약 8,840명입니다.[3][4] 지역 이야기는 전설적인 거대한 고속도로 건설자 베르트람 드 쇼츠의 이름을 따서 쇼츠의 이름이 지어졌지만, 유명론자들은 앵글로색슨의 ē트("급경사")를 진짜 이름의 근원으로 삼습니다. 지리학

1596년 폰트의[19] 원래 "글래스고와 라나크 군" 지도 c.1596에 근거한[18] 블래우의 지도는 쇼츠(샷츠), 팔라스(폴드하우스), 토브릭스(타브락스), 알렌툰(앨런턴) 등을 묘사합니다.
