대략 '카리스크'("Operation Car Wash" - Lamba Jato, 포르투갈어로 "Lava Jato"와 함께 하는 말장난)이란 뜻으로 브라질 언론이 '텔레그램' 앱에서 카리스크(Lava Jato) 작전에 대한 조사를 수행하는 관리들의 행동, 결정, 입장에 대해 유출된 대화를 위해 사용하는 말이다. 이들 관료들 중에는 전직 판사 세르히오[1] 모로와 검사 델탄 달라뇰이 포함되어 있다.[2][3] 대화 내용은 2019년 6월 더 인터셉트의 글렌 그린왈드 기자가 보도한 것이다.[4][5]

비공개 대화[6] 녹취록은 모로가 검찰에 내부자 정보를 제공, 연방검찰청(MPF)의 건축 사건 방조, 검찰 지휘, 목격자 친인척에 대한 수사 요청, 용암자토 작전 단계 수정을 시사하는 내용이 될 것으로 보인다. 이들은 또 루이스 이나시우 룰라 다 실바 전 브라질 대통령을 부패혐의로 유죄판결을 내리기 위한 새 작전, 전략적 조언, 비공식적인 단서 제공, MPF에 자원 제안 등에 민첩성을 보였다.[7][8][9]

수사보고서는 브라질이 겪고 있는 정치적, 경제적, 사회적 위기가 심각한 가운데 표면화되었다. 수년 동안, 사회의 다양한 부문들은 용암 자토 작전에 의해 저질러진 일탈, 남용, 그리고 위헌적인 행동을 비난해왔다.[18] 다음날 보수신문 오글로보 등 언론은 기사에서 일부 사실의 진실성을 공격했다.[19]

2019년 6월 12일 그린월드는 2015년 10월부터 2017년 9월까지 6월 9일 (제 5부)에 발표된 보고서와 관련된 전체 예약 대화를 발표했다.[20][21] 모로와 달라뇰 사이에 유출된 텔레그램 메시지에는 현재 루이스 푸스 연방대법원 법무장관이 포함되어 있다. 이 메시지들은 증거가 부족함에도 불구하고 판결에 속도를 내라고 현 자이르 보우소나루 법무장관인 모로로부터 압력을 받은 증거를 보여준다. Moro는 "Fux에서 우리는 신뢰한다"[22]라는 항소에 대한 검찰측을 진정시키기 위해 이렇게 말했다.

인터셉트와 AP는 FBI가 사건이 알려지기 전 룰라 대통령의 수사 관련 사건 문건을 요청했고, 모로는 이 정보를 비공식 경로를 통해 법무부에 보내도록 승인했다고 보도했다.[28] 2019년 8월 20일 행크 존슨 미국 대표 일행은 당시 바 법무장관에게 '요셉트'가 모로 판사와 검찰 고위간부의 유출된 통신문을 게재하면서 '밀착 공조'와 '룰라 전 대통령에 대한 사건수립을 위한 담합행위 보고'[29]라는 내용의 서한을 보냈다. 존슨 의원은 DOJ에 "DOJ 요원들이 모로 판사와 관련된 담합 행위를 알고 있는지..."를 알려달라고 요청했다.[30]
