W43A 또는 IRAS 18450-0148은 OH/IR 타입의 봉투에 자석 시준제트(원성운)가 있는 후기형 항성이다.[4]이 별은 수천 년이 걸리는 과정인 행성상성운의 초기 단계에 있다.[2]
