와르카와카
WarkawarkaWeki Weki라고도 불리는 Warkawarka는 오스트레일리아의 빅토리아에 위치한 호주 원주민 그룹이었다.[1] 이들이 독립된 '트라이브'인지, 아니면 오히려 베르가이아의 하위그룹으로 구성되었는지에 대해서는 논란이 존재하는데, 후자의 견해는 로버트 M. W. 딕슨과 루이스 헤르쿠스 양쪽에 의해 공유되고 있다.[2]
이름
비록 그 이름 자체, 와르카와르카 또는 와르가르가가 틀림없이 웨르가이아에 대한 에트니임의 변형일 수 있지만, 이 에트니명은 그들의 '아니오'(warki=warka)에 대한 말에서 유래한 것 같다.[1][3]
나라
와르카와카 부족의 땅은 남쪽으로 티렐 크릭과 티렐 호수에서 워랙나베알과 버칩까지 약 2,000 평방 마일(5,200km2)에 걸쳐 뻗어 있었다. 그들의 서쪽 경계선은 호페툰을 따라 놓여 있었고, 또한 모튼 평원 지대에 걸쳐 있었다.[1]
