Zyzzx는 밝은 색의 중간 크기의 Zyzzzx chilensis를 포함하는 모래 말벌의 단종속이다.그것은 주로 파리의 포식자이지만,[8] 선원들을 잡아먹는 것으로 관찰되었다."Zyzzx"는 1937년 V. S. L. Pate for Therapon에 의해 제안된 대체 이름으로,[4] 원래 1929년 J. Parker에 의해 기술되었다.
칠렌시스는 칠레, 페루,[3] 아르헨티나에서 발견된다.
