It published a Gallup poll on Monday indicating that the farms that are staying in business are becoming larger. Overall production levels are expected to remain around the same.
According to the agricultural producers' organisation MTK, most of Finland's nearly 70,000 farms remain small by European standards.
The number of farms dropped sharply after Finland joined the EU in 1995 as agricultural subsidies were slashed.
