Speaking on Finnish television on Wednesday morning, Finland’s Minister of Defence Carl Haglund said he does not believe that Russia will be able to come up with a good explanation for the recent airspace violations.
“We are still waiting on an official report. I personally find it difficult to believe that a decent explanation can be found,” said Haglund during his Yle morning programme interview.
Once the report has been submitted, the Minister for Foreign Affairs Erkki Tuomioja is scheduled to discuss the matter with his Russian counterpart.
Haglund said that no official time limit was set for submitting the report.
