Sonera's networks are experiencing service problems that started on Saturday morning at 2 am. According to Sonera, the situation was caused by a overnight power outage in central Helsinki.
”Now power has been restored and we’re working towards fixing the problem,” says Sonera’s communications director Tatu Tuominen.
Mobile and landline networks and Sonera TV services have all been affected. Sonera’s website is also offline.
The majority of Sonera's mobile network problems have been in the capital region, but the firm's landline network and TV services may be affected in other parts of Finland.
According to Sonera, Saturday's technical difficulties are not related to the mobile network problems that the company experienced three weeks ago.
