a couple yuri (or at least close to yuri) manga i enjoy; basically just a copy of a bunch of fedi posts i made, for now. some content warnings may apply.
cute
it's about two dorks running a teahouse featuring a comfy and wholesome romance with many sweet and blushy moments. i like it a lot.
ruins of civilization. nature reclaiming its territory. creates some beautiful scenery and a kinda comfy atmosphere without the usual swarm of humans
I'm usually not a big fan of sports manga but I love "Pocha Climb!". It doesn't stretch out tournaments or makes them overly dramatic. No endless flashbacks and tragic backstories. No comically evil rivals. Just girls having fun bouldering, and most importantly, a proper romance arc.
Real shame it got axed :(
Want yuri slice of life? Read "Our Wonderful Days"!
Animal ears, cute, kinda lewd, and very gay: "Mimi Mix!"
"Who Decided That Blues Had To Be Cool!?" is a short but fun magical girl comedy. I like it a lot and keep re-reading it every now and then.
I Love Amy is finished and i can only say i loved it. definitely my favorite korean work and probably one of my favorites overall.
interesting from the afterword is also that this is apparently the authors first major series and also their first real contact with the yuri genre? and yet they managed to create such a masterpiece. hope they'll do more yuri in the future.
Himegami no Miko final chapter got translated
One of my absolute favorite manga. The art is beautiful. Having something different from the countless high-school romances and recycled tropes is very refreshing. It's a great no-nonsense yuri romance.
Y'all like insects? "Mai no Mushigurashi" is an interesting slice of life series set on a farm. Sometimes fun, sometimes sad, sometimes gay, always enjoyable to read.
Another one of my all time favorites. Many office manga kinda normalize inhumane work culture (excessive overtime, sleeping over at work, poor work-life balance, school/job over personal health), so how about throwing all of that away? Not to mention it features the most precious yuri couple in all of existence.
A bit rough at times, but overall a very fun slice of life/comedy series. I have read it quite a few times. Sad it got axed, could've really used some more chapters and there definitely was a basis for more content...
booba
A simple story, but it's cute and uses a trope that I enjoy a lot. It's short length makes it perfect as a bedtime story, as a result it's one of my most re-read manga.
“Alter Ego” and “Sirius: Twin Stars”, two series by Ana C. Sánchez and both are great (tho i like Alter Ego a bit more). Cute romance interwoven with a strong story, and the art is beautiful. I would’ve loved just a few more pages of lovey-dovey couple content but I’m still quite happy with what I got. Big recommendation.
really enjoyed the ending. series is a violent office drama. the yuri aspect is played kinda atypical but it’s still definitely a “yuri-first” series and i always love to see some variety. art is very good too. i was a bit sceptical at first about the direction it will go but it actually turned out very nicely. and the last couple pages were pretty much perfect.
Cute girls playing golf. It's more slice of life than classic sports manga, which I'm very happy about and the characters are really fun.
