Bobby Guzman on Instagram: "⬇️ Save and Share Recipe ⬇️ There’s probably 7,000 ways to make Filipino Adobo (which is the number of Islands of the Philippines). This is just one way – my way. I season and sear my meat first. Then sear my garlic and onions, before mixing the adobo marinade of soy sauce, vinegar, and water. Don’t forget the bay leaves and pepper. Then add the meat back into the pan and braise over a flame, or in the oven like I do. After about 40 minutes the meats super tender and flavorful, that’s when add some sugar to help balance out all the other strong flavors. I also love to add different gulay or veggies, like these onions. Not really traditional but deelish. I know I know… your mom didn’t make it like this, but mine did, so I do.
