Katherine | Interior design & DIY on Instagram: "I always get asked where our stair runner ends, so hopefully this helps! The stair runner ends on the top riser, we then painted the very top step / floorboard in @farrowandball Railings to create an end to the stair colour. The floorboards were sanded and sealed with @osmo_uk in Polyx-oil raw matt finish. We have floorboards in the bedrooms so I think having it run through the landing too creates continuity. Do you have floorboards on your landing or do you prefer a cosy carpet? . DETAILS The stair carpet runner is from @hughmackaycarpets and called Deco Collection Two Tone Magpie Stripe. We bought from a local carpet shop and they also organised the fitting. The stairs are painted in Railings by @farrowandball. Walls are Strong Whit
