The First Filipino Film ever made was Dalagang Bukid ( Country Maiden) by Jose Nepomuceno shown in 12th Sept 1919 making it the oldest locally made feature film in SouthEast Asia. This made the Philippines one of the earliest countries to have the Cinema Industry in Asia.
