Cathe Holden on Instagram: "I felt like playing with those unfinished needlepoint pieces today (see precious reel) and remember I’d thrifted a funky old small suitcase recently and thought it would be fun to pair the two. I used Mod Podge for fabric (regular would’ve worked, too) to seal all the yarn on the back keeping any from unraveling once I got going, and once dry I trimmed out the floral cluster nice and close with scissors and Xacto knife. I used a sharpie to match the suitcase to cancel out all the light-colored remaining backing mesh. I used Fabri-Tac to appliqué the piece to the to the suitcase. When I flipped it over to stick it down it landed off-center so I added a crusty old label holder next to it! Got a love those happy accidents!
The inside of the suitcase has been stripp Cathe Holden, Xacto Knife, Happy Accidents, Small Suitcase, Mod Podge, Vintage Linens, Needlepoint, Light Colors, Things To Think About
