The Spirit Tree is a sacred site for the Reef People of the Metkayina clan situated deep under the waters of the Cove of the Ancestors. Similar to the Tree of Voices or the Tree of Souls for the Omatikaya clan, the Spirit Tree is the Metkayina’s main access point to Ewya’s neural network providing memories, stored “spirits” of their ancestors and even oxygen allowing for prolonged sessions underwater.

The Cove of the Ancestors is the sacred site of the Metkayina. The floating islands of this location differ from the Hallelujah Mountains in that they are smaller and more horizontal in nature due to the different geology found in the distant atolls. The flux concentration is most apparent in their arching circular structure.

Inside the highly defensible Mons Veritatis cave system in the Hallelujah Mountain range, High Camp is a last refuge for Jake Sully and his people. A stronghold originally designed as a place for the Omatikaya and their allies to retreat from the RDA forces, it has developed into a guerrilla base camp.
