a plate with bread, grapes and other food on it that says how to make fermented mustard

Fermented mustard is assertive, acidic and deeply complex in its flavor. And, it's also one of the easiest fermented food recipes that you can make. That's because it takes only about 5 minutes to stir the ingredients together, and then you let all the beneficial bacteria finish the work. The result is rich and flavorful, and wonderfully good for your gut. | #guthealth #fermentation #nourishedkitchen

I love homemade fermented mustard and it's so simple to make. All mustard is fermented but if you make your own it will be extra special. You can buy mustard seeds and grind them into powder for different flavors. Black mustard seeds are the most pungent. Brown mustard seeds are used mostly in Europe, and yellow and white are the mildest flavor. To grind them, use a mortar and pestle or a coffee grinder, cleaning it well when you’re done. Homemade mustard is the best!

Yes, you can ferment mustard. I'm not sure why it isn't more of a thing. In the same way that Dr. Andrew Weil called vinegar pickles...
