My gray and white chevron quilt is complete! This is made with the same fabrics as my Gray Patchwork Quilt. I love these neutrals! This one is larger - it measures about 40x53" and is the perfect size for a couch blanket to snuggle under when your husband turns the air conditioning too low (or is that just me?!). I made four wedding quilts for nieces and nephews in the summer of 2020. I fell in love with the one I made for T and J and knew I had to make a similar one for me someday. So when I cut out the fabric for C and G's wedding quilt I had to cut out a quilt for me to. I worked on them at the same time. I cut out the strips in August 2021. This is Angèle`s Kira Quilt and the pattern is by GE Designs. She used beautiful purples, teals and blues along with a great ombre print fabric. I used a light beige So Fine for other top, grey Bottom Line on the back and she brought a 100% cotton Pellon batting. Angèle asked for a large curvy panto and she picked a few out from my collection and then left the choice up to me on which one to use. I picked Bayside as it has great movement and was the right scale of design for the piecing.

All I need now is a border. I think I'm just going to add some more gray to each side. I usually do more than add background color to a border, but this time I might go plain and jazz it up with quilting....hmmm, not sure....sooo not sure. What I do know for sure is that I need to order more gray fabric. I bet by the time it gets here, I will have a fabulous idea!

Becki made this sweet quilt using 5 inch charm packs plus a few more fabrics from her stash. Love that heathery gray background. I quilted a paisley design along with a few paisley feathered swirls in between. I really like this quilt pattern and how it turned out. Thanks Becki (aka my Mom :D )
