Understand the rules, responsibilities and rights when using ZeepCentraal.

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ZeepCentraal (“we,” “our,” or “us”), including the website, public API, and related services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use ZeepCentraal.

1. Eligibility

You may use ZeepCentraal only if you are legally able to form binding contracts. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Account Registration

  • ZeepCentraal uses Steam SSO (Single Sign-On) and optional Discord SSO to authenticate users.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • We respect your Steam privacy settings:
    • Only publicly accessible Steam display names are stored.
    • If your profile is Hidden or Friends Only, your display name will not be stored, and you will appear as “Unknown Player.”
  • By registering or linking your account, you agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated.

3. Data and Content

3.1 Super League Results

  • By playing Zeepkist Super League (ZSL), you consent to your historical results being displayed on ZeepCentraal.
  • If you do not have a ZeepCentraal account, a placeholder account may be created using your public Steam display name solely to display tournament results.

3.2 GTR Mod Data

  • By using the GTR mod, you consent to submitting:
    • Level times.
    • Level hash (to identify which level was played).
    • Ghost data (telemetry such as position, speed, arms up, and other soapbox status indicators).
  • This data is collected to verify the integrity of submitted records and provide interactive visualisations on ZeepCentraal.

3.3 Public Data

  • Your Steam ID, Steam display name (if public), Discord ID (if linked), gameplay records, and results may be publicly visible on ZeepCentraal and through the public GraphQL API.
  • Competitive data (Super League results and submitted records) is considered public performance data and will not be deleted even if you delete your account; it may be anonymised to dissociate it from your identity.

4. User Conduct

By using ZeepCentraal, you agree not to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to interfere with or compromise the security of ZeepCentraal, its API, or other users’ accounts.
  • Submit fraudulent, malicious, or harmful data.
  • Use ZeepCentraal for unauthorized commercial purposes without explicit permission.

5. Intellectual Property

  • ZeepCentraal and its content (such as visualisations, rankings, and site functionality) are the property of ZeepCentraal or its licensors.
  • ZeepCentraal does not claim ownership of Zeepkist or its assets. The exclusive intellectual property rights of Zeepkist, including branding and game assets, are owned by Yannic Geurts.
  • ZeepCentraal uses the Zeepkist name, logos, and branding under a fair use agreement for community purposes.

6. User Generated Content (UGC)

  • ZeepCentraal displays User Generated Content (UGC) obtained via the Steam Workshop API, including level data, level names, and level thumbnails.
  • This content is submitted and maintained by the creators on Steam, not ZeepCentraal.
  • By accessing this content through ZeepCentraal, you agree to respect the rights of the original content creators and Steam’s terms of service.
  • ZeepCentraal does not claim ownership of UGC and is not responsible for the content beyond providing access and display via our site.
  • We may remove or restrict access to UGC on ZeepCentraal if required to comply with law, protect third-party rights, or maintain site functionality.

7. Public API

  • ZeepCentraal provides a public GraphQL API for accessing user and gameplay data.
  • By using the API, you agree to use the data only for legitimate purposes and in compliance with applicable laws.
  • We reserve the right to modify, restrict, or revoke API access at any time.

8. Account Deletion

  • You may delete your ZeepCentraal account at any time.
  • Deleting your account removes your Steam ID, Steam name, and Discord ID from our systems.
  • Super League results and submitted records will remain for historical and competitive integrity but may be anonymised.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • ZeepCentraal is provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind.
  • We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be posted on the ZeepCentraal website. Continued use of ZeepCentraal after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
