Related Quests

Automatons are created by Dampé. They are mechanical versions of Enemies that replicate their behavior in some exaggerated way. As they are not Echoes, they do not have a summoning cost. However, they must be wound up before they activate and will wind down over time. If an Automaton is destroyed, it must be repaired by Dampé for a cost in either Rupees or Monster Stones.

In order to use Automatons, Zelda must first help Dampé in Hyrule Field. Then, she will be able to meet up with him at his Studio. Dampé offers to make her an Automaton, but needs inspiration in order to design it. He will give her a description of what he is looking for, and Zelda will need to bring him an Echo that matches said description, and the last four require a unique Item.

For each subsequent Automaton after the Gizmol, Zelda will need to interact with Dampé's Journal! to begin the corresponding Side Quest and access the Automaton requirements. After presenting the correct Echo, she will also need to talk to Dampé directly to offer him the Item.
