The Wind Waker

Blue Chu Jelly is the rarest form of Chu Jelly, with only 23 in the entire Great Sea. Each of the 23 Blue Chuchus yields a single Blue Chu Jelly when defeated—it will not yield another if killed again. As with other Spoils, Link can take Blue Chu Jellies from Blue Chuchus using the Grappling Hook.

If Link brings 15 Blue Chu Jellies to Doc Bandam at the Chu Jelly Juice Shop, he will create Blue Potion and offer Link a free sample. Thereafter, Blue Potions are sold at the shop for 60 Rupees each. Link can obtain another free sample of Blue Potion by bringing Doc Bandam 5 more Blue Chu Jellies.

Blue Chu Jellies can be sold to Beedle for 3 Rupees each in The Wind Waker and 15 Rupees each in The Wind Waker HD. If Link sells more than 8 Blue Chu Jellies, he will never have enough to bring to Doc Bandam. In this case the opportunity to unlock Blue Potion at the Chu Jelly Juice Shop is permanently missed, though Blue Potion can still be obtained from Hollo at the Forest Potion Shop.

Twilight Princess

Link obtains Blue Chu Jelly by defeating Blue Chus and scooping up their remains into an Empty Bottle. Bottled Blue Chu Jelly is functionally and visually identical to Blue Potion; consuming it fully restores the Life Gauge.

Blue Chus can be found at Lakebed Temple, Hyrule Field, Snowpeak Ruins, and certain Caves.[clarification needed]
